So, mark your calendars for November 3rd.  In another episode of “The 80’s are throwing up all over the place”, V makes it’s way back onto the Television screen, led by a couple of people from the Firefly series.  I am pleased.  Disturbingly so…

Man, I really dug V back when I was a kid.  To be honest, the lizard folks scared the bejeesus out of me, but I still totally dug it.  So, seeing that it’s coming back once more is exciting for me.  Although, is television the best media for it to come back in?

I really think that this story would do well in a comic book (much like a few series that either died away or is lingering on).  It could be a little more dynamic in terms of action, events, and the only budget spent would be the artist’s talent or the writer’s vision.  It would make for an interesting companion to the TV series, if nothing else.  An adult-oriented cartoon would also be pretty interesting and well-placed for the V series.  Again, the limitations are only what the artists and writers could churn out.

Still though, seeing Morena Baccarin, Firefly/Serenity’s “Inara”, back in a sci-fi role is always welcomed.  From the commercials shown, she could have a nice role in the series.  Alan Tudyk, Firefly/Serenity’s “Wash”, will be once again be in the pilot’s chair for V as well.

So, take one guess where I’ll be on November 3rd, at 8:00…   “We are of Peace, Always.”

Yeah, right!!
